Why Signed On Time Exists
After more than 25 years inside commercial and residential lending, I kept seeing the same problem: someone would have a closing, a refinance, a power of attorney, or a hospital signing that had to happen today — and no one could get a notary to the door when they needed one. Title companies had already closed for the day. Offices were locked. Lenders were unavailable after hours. Families were standing in hospital parking lots calling numbers that didn't pick up.
I was commissioned as a Notary Public by the State of Ohio on July 28, 2022, and Signed On Time exists because I saw that gap and decided to fill it myself. We're a small, local mobile notary practice based in Waynesville, Ohio. We come to you, on your schedule, with the same quiet professionalism you'd expect from someone who has sat at thousands of closing tables. No hard sell, no legal opinions, no surprises — just a calm, impartial witness who shows up on time and gets your documents handled correctly.
What an impartial witness actually does
A notary public in Ohio is an impartial witness. My job is to verify your identity, confirm you understand what you're signing and that you're signing willingly, watch the signature happen, and apply the official notarial certificate. That's the entire job — done correctly, every time.
What a notary doesn't do: give legal advice, tell you whether your document is the right document, fix language inside the document, or take sides. If you need legal guidance, please speak with a licensed Ohio attorney. If you need a witness who treats your signing with care and gets the certificate right — that's me.

Common questions about working with me
Are you a real Ohio notary, or a national service?
I'm a single Ohio-commissioned notary public based in Waynesville. When you book Signed On Time, you're booking me — Terry May — not a dispatcher. NNA certified, background screened, and E&O insured.
Can you tell me if my document is correct?
No, and I won't pretend to. Reviewing or interpreting legal documents is the practice of law. I verify identity, witness signatures, and complete the notarial certificate. For document advice, please speak with an Ohio attorney.
How far will you travel?
I cover Warren, Greene, Clinton, Butler, Hamilton, and Montgomery counties as standard service area. Longer trips are possible by appointment — just ask.
Can you come to a hospital, nursing home, or hospice?
Yes, regularly. Bedside notarizations require the signer to be alert, oriented, and signing willingly. I'll make that determination at the bedside the way Ohio law requires.
Do you do loan signings for title companies and lenders?
Yes. NNA Certified Signing Agent with a Loan Signing System background, current background screening, and E&O insurance. I've sat on the lender side of thousands of files, so the package gets handled right.
How I work
Your time matters, and some documents simply can't wait. I bring notary services to you — at home, in the office, at a hospital, or in a care facility — because that's where the need actually is.
Every signing gets the same attention, whether it's a straightforward acknowledgment or a complex loan signing. I verify identity carefully, witness the signature properly, and complete the notarial certificate correctly. Nothing gets rushed. Nothing gets assumed.
If you need estate planning documents notarized or hospital bedside service, I understand the urgency and the stakes. I've handled signings in living rooms, conference rooms, and intensive care units. The setting changes. The standard doesn't.

How I approach the work
Show up on time
If we agree on 2:15, I'm there at 2:10. Closings can't wait. Hospital signings can't wait. Being on time is the baseline, not a selling point.
Verify, don't assume
Every ID gets checked. Every signature gets witnessed. Every certificate gets completed before I leave. No shortcuts, no exceptions.
Stay impartial
I don't review your documents for correctness. I don't take sides between parties. I witness signatures, verify identity, and complete the notarial act. That's the scope.
Handle pressure calmly
Estate signings and hospital visits come with real emotional weight. I keep the process calm, clear, and respectful. The people matter as much as the paper.
